The Savannah Irish Festival will be on Saturday the 14th & Sunday the 15th, 2015. Come and enjoy the festivities with traditional Irish Music, Irish Dancing, and plenty of more Irish Fun!
Music Artist include Gabriel Donahue, Seamus Kennedy, The McKrells, Tom & Debbie O’Carroll, Harry O’Donoghue, Pat Maloney, The Savannah Ceili Band, Open The Door For Three. Featuring Burning Bridget Cleary, one of the hottest acts on the Celtic and Folk music scene. There will be four stages active all weekend. Come out both days to check out all of the performances!
The ‘Irish Dancers of Savannah’ will also be performing at the Savannah Irish Festival this year, they have been around since 1989. Their goal to keep Irish Dancing alive in Savannah. They perform at many different events throughout the year, Civic events, Religious events as well as Private events. Currently under the direction of Maria Kenney Buckhaults, who has been dancing for over 40 years.
There will also be a Savannah Irish Festival kickoff Ceili (party) on Friday night at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The party runs from 6:30pm – 9:30pm. This is a Family friendly event and a great way to get the Festival started. A $5 donation is appreciated.
It wouldn’t be an Irish Festival without great food! There will be several vendors providing food this year including, Beef Brisket by ‘Catholic War Veterans’, Irish Bangers by’Ancient Order of Hibernians’, Reuben Sandwiches by ‘Police Emerald Society’ as well as a variety from the ‘Friendly Sons of St Patrick’ and ‘Firefighters Emerald Society’.
